Continental Protecta® HIR 300 Type X with Mold Defense® is a high impact, fire and mold-resistant drywall that incorporates the proven formulation of our industry-preferred, abuse-resistant board.

Protecta HIR 300 uses a fiberglass-enhanced, noncombustible, high-density, synthetic gypsum core with reinforced, strong facers that guard against surface abrasion, indentation, mold and mildew.

Protecta HIR 300 uses an engineered reinforcement technology to provide enhanced resistance to penetration, achieving Level 3 soft- and hard-body impact ratings per ASTM C 1629.

Protecta HIR 300 Type X with Mold Defense is designed for use in interior areas where a higher resistance to abrasion, indentation, and impact penetration is required.
